Marqette, which is part of Michael JF Wright Hospitality, was awarded overall winner for Best Start Up/New Business at the Fingal Dublin Business Excellence & CSR Awards 2016, which recognises the extraordinary talent, drive, innovation and success of the business community in the Fingal Region. In 2014 Michael Wright Hospitality was invited to tender and was selected for a 9,000sq ft space in Terminal One, Dublin Airport. Marqette, a relaxed space bringing the outdoor feel of a busy and bustling food court was created offering choice, quality and first class service to the travelling public.
The focus was to provide the customers with a varied and innovative food range that addressed the key issues of freshly prepared food, value for money and also great friendly service in a unique and attractive environment. The concept includes an in-house bakery and a 1960’s Citroen Van, “The Hatch” where freshly prepared omelettes, stir-fry’s and pancakes are cooked in front of the customer.
The company’s success and growth is attributed to their ongoing support and development of the brand and team which is headed up by entrepreneur and director Michael Wright. “On behalf of Marqette, I’m thrilled to congratulate each and every member of my team. Marqette has had a very exciting first year of trading at Dublin Airport receiving Highly Commended at the FAB Awards in Geneva for “Airport food Court of the Year” and is shortlisted for “Airport Hospitality Provider Award” at this year’s Irish Aviation Awards in December. The team is looking forward to continually developing their food journey with future ongoing expansion plans for the brand.
