SustainabilityWe are incredibly proud to announce that Ryan’s Pub, Dublin Airport has been named a Gold Finalist for Airport Pub of the Year at the prestigious FAB Conference & Awards 2026, one of the most respected awards programmes in global airport hospitality.
The awards, which celebrate excellence in food and beverage experiences across airports worldwide, will take place this July in Bengaluru, India, bringing together leading operators from around the globe. To be recognised among the very best airport hospitality venues less than a year after opening is an achievement that means so much to our entire team.
Since opening in Terminal 2 in December 2025, Ryan’s has set out to deliver an authentic Irish pub experience for passengers passing through Dublin Airport. Inspired by the warmth, character and storytelling that define Ireland’s great local pubs, Ryan’s offers passengers a final taste of Irish hospitality before they embark on their journeys.
What makes Ryan’s particularly special is the story behind its name.
The pub takes its inspiration from the iconic photograph of Mary Ryan, captured in the 1970s hanging out her washing beneath the presence of an Aer Lingus Jumbo Jet. The image has become part of Dublin Airport history, perfectly capturing the unique relationship between the airport and the local community that grew alongside it.
That photograph, which is proudly displayed within the pub, tells the story of a family whose lives became intertwined with Dublin Airport and still are today. Generations of the Ryan family worked at the airport over the decades, creating a lasting connection that continues to this day. It is a story of community and family – values that are woven into the fabric of Ryan’s Pub.
From the carefully curated memorabilia and historic imagery throughout the venue to the warm welcome offered by our team each day, Ryan’s celebrates the people and stories that helped shape Dublin Airport. The pub has quickly become a favourite meeting point for passengers seeking a perfectly poured pint, a comforting meal, live music and a genuine sense of place before departure.
This Gold Finalist recognition is a testament to the incredible dedication of our entire team. Every member of staff has played a role in creating an experience that reflects the very best of Irish hospitality, ensuring guests leave Ireland with a memorable final impression.
