Marqette has partnered with the Conscious Cup Campaign in the bid to reduce the amount of reusable cups.
Did you know that 22,000 takeaway cups are disposed of every hour? And that’s just in Ireland!
At Marqette, we’re consistently looking for ways to become a greener and more environmentally friendly business. We partnered with the Conscious Cup Campaign as we want to do everything possible to help reduce the number of disposable cups.
The Conscious Cup Campaign is an initiative founded by a group of concerned individuals who seek to reduce and eventually eliminate the use of disposable cups in Ireland. The campaign hopes to increase the use of reusable cups, by encouraging cafes and other outlets to incentivise this through discounts and loyalty schemes. This will reduce waste going to landfill and littering our streets as most disposable cups are non-recyclable.
On-the-go packaging is unfortunately prevalent in travel hubs, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t do our part to make it as environmentally friendly as possible. Currently, all of our disposable cups are fully compostable (including the lids), and we also dispose of these separately. It’s just one of the initiatives we’ve introduced to reduce the amount of waste. But, Marqette hasn’t stopped there!
We’re offering all Dublin Airport passengers and staff 20c off their hot drink purchase when they use their own reusable cup.
This offer is available at Marqette Café, located in arrivals terminal 1, and at Marqette Foodhall, located in departures terminal 1.
Marqette has also recently introduced Stojo cups for sale in both locations at Dublin Airport. Stojo is the perfect reusable cup for travelling as it collapses to 1.75 inches and can fit perfectly in any bag.
